This page describes, as plainly as we can, what data SportSyncAI actually collects and what we do with it. We only describe real, current practice below — nothing here is a claim of a formal certification (like GDPR or CCPA compliance) we haven't independently verified.

Where it's stored

Your data is stored in Upstash Redis, a managed database provider. Your quiz result and coach conversation are keyed to a random, unguessable ID generated for you — not your name.

How it's used

• To generate your sport recommendation and personality report.
• To let the AI coach hold a real conversation with you about your result.
• To email you your report or a follow-up, only if you gave us an email.
• To understand, in aggregate, which parts of the product people actually use.

We do not sell your data to third parties. We have not found any third-party advertising trackers in the product as of this writing.

Health data

• No AI provider ever receives your health data. Everything we calculate from it — how your body responded in a session, the watch reading — is done by our own code.
• The check-in chat (optional). When a day looks unusual for your body, the app asks what it was. A one-tap answer stays on your account. If you choose to type instead, only the words you type — plus which signals were unusual, as words such as "shorter sleep than usual", never a number — are sent to DeepSeek to understand which answer it was. Your typed words are not stored by us; only the answer is. If what you type mentions hurting yourself, nothing is sent to any AI and the app shows a support helpline.
• It is used to show how your body responds in your real sessions and to keep your sport recommendation based on what actually happens. It is never used as a medical reading or to judge your personality.
• It is stored under your account in Upstash (the database named above), never sold, and never used for advertising.
• You can delete it at any time in the app: Profile → Delete my health data. That removes it from our servers, unlinks every watch you connected, and stops further uploads until you agree again.
• A linked watch gets its own key that can only send data to your account — it cannot read anything back.

Third-party services we use

To run the product, some of your data passes through infrastructure providers we use to build it: Upstash (database), Vercel (hosting), and AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepSeek, Moonshot, Groq, Google Gemini, or a local model) that process quiz answers and coach messages to generate your personalized results. Health data is not sent to any of them; the only exception is the words you choose to type in the check-in chat, described above, which go to DeepSeek. These providers process data on our behalf — we don't hand your data to them for their own separate use.

Your choices

• Delete your account any time in the app: Profile → ⚙︎ → Delete my account. It removes your account, quiz results and coach chats, all health and watch data, your profile, connections and messages (for the other person too), and your First Steps. Reports other people made stay, with your email removed. Booking requests sent from Communities are stored by phone number, not by account — contact us to remove them.
• The quiz and report work without ever giving us your email — you get a private result link instead.
• If you gave us your email and want it removed from future emails, use the unsubscribe link included in any email we send, or write to us below.
• To ask us to delete your data entirely, contact us at the email below with your result link or account email.
